Mapping Your Journey as a Youth Impacted by Cancer - Finding Support and Empowerment
Welcome to our Youth and Teen Convene Program, a dedicated space for youth who are facing the challenges of cancer, whether it is their own diagnosis, a parent's, or a sibling's. We understand the complexities of being a youth today and recognize how challenging it must be to navigate the changes in your physical, mental, and emotional development while also battling cancer.
In our program, we offer support groups specifically designed for youth impacted by cancer. These support groups provide a safe and understanding environment where you can connect with others who share similar experiences. Whether you are a youth with cancer, have a family member who is affected by cancer, or have a sibling going through this journey, our program is here to support you.
We understand that not every youth falls into the specified age support group each week. That's why we have created a supervised play area called Noogieland, where kids and teens can engage in recreational activities under proper supervision. Parents have the option to stay in Noogieland with their children or can take advantage of a dedicated space where they can socialize and network with other parents who are going through similar experiences.
The Youth and Teen Group meet regularly, providing a consistent and supportive environment for youth impacted by cancer. We gather on the first Thursday of the month for ages 7-10 and on the third Thursday for ages 10 and above.
