Why did you change your name?
Our new name, Cancer Support Community Rochester, summarizes instantly what we do – we provide support to adults, teens and children impacted by all types of cancer. It also reflects our understanding that community is stronger than cancer.
Will the new name change your mission?
While our name has changed, our mission remains the same – ensuring that anyone affected by cancer can receive non-medical, emotional, and social support – at no cost.
Are you changing your programs because of the name change?
No. We continue to offer more than 1000 support groups, healthy lifestyle programs, workshops, and educational and social programs annually. Our programs are offered virtually and in person.
Will programs still be offered free of charge?
All our programs and services continue to be provided at no cost.
