Camp Open Arms

Camp Open Arms is open to children directly affected by cancer (the child has/had cancer or their parent or sibling has/had cancer) or sickle cell anemia.

Camp Open Arms will be held August 14-18, 2023 for ages 5-12 at the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp in Rush, NY. The 157-acre campus offers state of the art experiences for campers including a rock climbing wall, zipline, Olympic size swimming pool, archery range, outdoor trails, and a giant wooden treehouse. This location gives our campers a fun filled day camp experience for the entire week. We provide bussing to and from camp from our location on Alexander Street. Additionally, lunch and snacks are provided daily. Contact Carin Adams if you have any questions at cadams@cscrochester.org

Anticipated camp hours – drop off 8:30am – pick up 3:45-4pm

If you are over the age of 16 and would like to become a volunteer camp counselor please reach out to Carin at cadams@cscrochester.org to learn more.

Break-Week Program

As a parent or guardian with cancer, school breaks can be especially challenging. Here at CSC, we offer a break-week program where our staff and volunteers engage with your children during school breaks with creative art projects, trips to the movie theater, and more. Check back for break week activity information.
