Healing Arts

Art as a creative expression has been shown to be extremely therapeutic and can foster healing of mental well-being. The diagnosis and journey through cancer can be stressful, draining, and frightening. Our art programming is here to take away some of that stress through creation of gratifying projects.

Studio Art

From painting to jewelry making to drawing, CSC brings in the talent for you to explore your artistic side. Twice a month we offer a range of creative projects to partake in to relieve stress, bring joy, and meet other CSC members.

Fiber Art

Come engage in fiber art where we design beautiful art with nontraditional textiles. Create a token to keep or a gift for a loved one. Twice a month, we will help guide you through a variety of projects or assist you on a sewing project you need help on.


Paper quilling is an art form that involves using strips of paper to roll and shape into artistic designs. This unique art class is open to all experience levels and ages. Come learn how you can create a masterpiece through this non-traditional craft.

Intro to Journaling

Journaling is a powerful way to get in touch with life experiences, emotions, desires, and goals. You will learn about different types of journaling, the benefits of journaling, and receive take-home prompts to explore on your own. Whether you have tried journaling or not, this class is a chance to gain clarity in your life in a time you may be feeling overwhelmed.

Intro to Guitar

Nick Lord will lead this program teaching the basics of beginner acoustic guitar as well as elements of music therapy. Benefits for music therapy may include reduced anxiety, cancer related fatigue and stress. All equipment will be provided and no experience is necessary. Class size is limited.
